1. About RezReminder

RezReminder (rezreminder.com) is a shared calendar and reminder service for families and small groups. Members can create and manage calendar events on the website or by sending a text message to the RezReminder assistant, and receive reminders about upcoming events by SMS or WhatsApp. By using RezReminder you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy.

RezReminder is currently offered as a free, invite-only beta. Features may change, and we will give notice before introducing any paid plans.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use RezReminder, and at least 18 or have a parent or guardian's permission to subscribe a phone number to text messages. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential. You may only subscribe a phone number that you own or are authorized to use.

3. SMS messaging program

Program name: RezReminder

Program description: RezReminder sends non-marketing, transactional text messages about calendar events: event reminders, confirmations when an event is added or changed, travel-time departure reminders, account activation messages, and replies from the RezReminder assistant when you text it. We do not send marketing or promotional messages.

How you opt in

A group administrator invites you to RezReminder. After logging in, you open your profile, select SMS as your messaging channel, and check the consent boxes shown below. The boxes are unchecked by default and are required before SMS can be selected:

All three boxes are unchecked by default and are required before SMS can be selected.

You then receive a single activation text and must reply YES to confirm. Only members who have completed both steps receive messages. No messages are sent to unregistered or unconfirmed numbers.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies with your calendar activity and the reminder times you choose. Most members receive between 1 and 30 messages per month.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. Charges are determined by your mobile carrier and plan.

Opting out

You can cancel the SMS service at any time. Reply STOP to any message (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, OPTOUT or REVOKE). You will receive one final confirmation message:

"RezReminder: You have been unsubscribed and will receive no further messages. Reply START to resubscribe."

After that, you will not receive further text messages unless you opt in again by replying START. You can also switch your messaging channel off in your profile.

Help

Reply HELP (or INFO) to any message for assistance. You will receive:

"RezReminder: Help is available at support@rezreminder.com or rezreminder.com. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out."

  • Activation: "RezReminder: Hi Maria! You've been added to RezReminder. Reply YES to activate event reminders. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out."
  • Reminder:"Reminder: Dentist appointment is tomorrow, Tue Nov 4 at 2:00 PM at Bradenton Family Dentistry."
  • Departure reminder:"Time to head out! It's about 25 min to Lakewood Ranch Park. Your Soccer Practice starts at 9:00 AM."
  • Confirmation:"Got it! Added 'Soccer Practice' on Sat Nov 8 at 9:00 AM. I'll remind you 1 hour before."

Carriers

Supported on major US carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

4. WhatsApp

If you choose WhatsApp as your channel, messages are delivered through WhatsApp and are also subject to WhatsApp's terms. The same opt-out keywords apply.

5. Acceptable use

Use RezReminderonly for personal and group scheduling. Don't use it to send spam, harass others, add people without their permission, or attempt to access other groups' data. We may suspend accounts that misuse the service.

6. AI assistant

The RezReminder assistant uses artificial intelligence to understand your messages and create or update events. It can make mistakes, so please check important events on your calendar.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

RezReminderis provided "as is" during the beta, without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for missed events, late or undelivered reminders, or decisions made based on information in the service. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the prior 12 months (currently $0).

8. Ending your account

You can stop using RezReminder at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing support@rezreminder.com.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Changes are posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
